Photography PhotographyI am an area photographer who found my love of photography at a young age. I however did not think to start a business till the last few years. My interest in photography was peaked by parents who took me on many of their own photography outings throughout West Virginia. I was introduced to my own film 35 mm camera at about 10 years of age. I got my first digital SLR as a young adult and have never looked back. Through my mom’s photography classes I was introduced to the idea of composing an image before snapping the shutter.
I enjoy taking pictures in a variety of settings but greatly enjoy using the urban setting of Morgantown and also the WVU campus. A lot of my pictures come from interesting walls I have found to use as backdrops. I am always open for suggestions of new places to take pictures and would love to hear about any neat walls you may have found.
My fulltime job is in Medicine. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2003 and a Doctorate of Medicine in 2007. At this time I work at WVU Family Medicine. I enjoy my job and enjoy meeting patients of all ages. I provide care from obstetrics and newborns through geriatrics. In the future I hope to remain in a rural area near Morgantown, WV.
I am married to Justin Haggerty and we have a dog named Vandy. Justin works at WVU’s Office of Information Technology. Our dog Vandy is a wild but fun lab/bluetick mix that adds a lot of excitement to our lives (positive and negative excitement.) Though Justin is shy in front of the camera, Vandy is always a willing subject if you just say the word ‘walk.’
