Macro

Filed under: General — Treah at 7:55 pm on Friday, August 8, 2008

One photography tool I have been having fun playing with is the Lensbaby with the macro attachment. I had the opportunity to play with this while at Longwood gardens. Below is a photo from the center of a flower. The colors came out amazing and I love how the picture focused. You can click on the picture to get a larger version. Enjoy!

These gardens are amazing. I have been 4 times now and all were at different times of the year. I think this is my favorite because not only are the flowers blooming but the idea gardens are full grown. Very nice time.

Maine Beaches

The beaches of Maine are incredible. Sand beaches can not compare to the beauty here. Sand beaches may have warmer water though.

Here are pictures from my recent pictures from Acadia National Park in Maine. Beautiful place. I want to go back and explore. I will try to post a few pictures from my trip over the next few posts. These are from Otter Point on Park Loop Road in Acadia National Park. I took these right after sundown using my tripod. I dont know how to make them less blue but I still like the pictures.

On call…

Filed under: General — Treah at 7:09 am on Tuesday, July 15, 2008

…as a senior. I was at the hospital 1 time for about 20 minutes on my entire 12 hour call on Sunday. I know it will be different on other call days but another big difference, it only lasts 12 hours!!!! not 24 or 30!!!! I decided to do something that could be interrupted throughout the day and so I worked on the newest quilt. I got the idea from a magazine. I do not know which one and I do not know the dementions they were using. I have MANY more fabrics going into this so similar fabrics wont be as close as they are in this picture. I have many more blocks already made but I need around 186 total. I am not there yet. Can’t wait to work on it again!

Martinsburg, WV - June 2008

Filed under: General — Treah at 9:32 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Last month I was on a rotation for surgery in Martinsburg, WV. I was lucky that month! I lived with an awesome family who shared the fun of their area with me (and kept me well fed all month.) Did I mention the extremely soft and comfortable bed they provided? It was a nice month!

June - This month slipped by

Photos from the month of June: Lots going on.

Worked in WV Eastern Panhandle, went to Colorado to see my brother in law and now sister in law get married, explores a few gardens, and explored neat towns such as Harpers Ferry, WV. Not to mention some good old surgery - oh wait, that wasn’t a highlight this month! I was not meant to be a surgeon. Thank goodness others are!
