I love halloween. I think its genetic. My mom loves halloween. Tonight is trick or treating. AND, I got to come home early so I will get to hand out candy. For tonight I put a quilt out front for the trick or treaters. I wish it fit the space better. I didn’t have any plans for it (and its only going to be out for like 2 hours tonight) so I didn’t measure. The ‘boo’ was a mixed effort by my mom and I. She has one also.

LOVE halloween. How fun is that!

This weekend was homecoming at WVU which is fun because the WVU Alumni Band performs. This year was a blast as usual. We marched, yelled and played loud (and not always the right notes). WVU played Syracuse and once again, we won. We are ranked 4th in the nation and 5th in the BCS polls.

In the picture above of the alumni band, I am the second person in (closest to the sideline) on the first row. I play trumpt. My brother is the 3rd person in. I have a yellow coat on and a pink hat. My brother, a blue coat and a white hat.

In the above picture here, we are making the WVU alumni logo. I am in a yellow coat in the ‘W’. I am in the middle of the ‘0′ for the ‘20′ yard line number.

Today my parents and I toured the state. We thought we would see pretty leaf colors but I guess we were a bit late. It is ok though because West Virginia is always beautiful and we saw a lot of the state today. Wonderful drive. We were out and about for 11 hours driving from northern WV to southern WV. Love October. Fun crafts to make this month. Here is a new wallhanging I am working on. It is actually from a BH&G magazine. The letters were something they had to cut into pumpkins. I am sewing them onto a wallhanging. My mom actually did most of the work. I am just doing the final sewing here.

The skirt from this weekend was a hit today. People complimented me on it quite a bit. I was a little uneasy though. My legs are transparent white. They may be complimenting just because my legs are beckons and they do not know what else to say! I had a lack of sunlight in my life this summer. Maybe next summer… Oh wait. Residency. Probably not.

Today has been another sewing day. With more sewing to come. And maybe a nap. I made this skirt this morning. It is like one I made in the past. Fits perfectly with leaving the top waistband from the pattern off. I wear the other skirt I made like this all the time. Looks like it needs ironed in the picture.

Today was a sewing day with my mom. We worked on halloween wallhangings while watching and listening to football. WVU won again.

We still have to put batting and backing on the. Then quilt them. It was fun to make though!

And I love it. Perfect. My attending doctor now is funny and quircky. She also works her butt off. I have a long 40 minute drive ahead of me each way to and from her office but it is worth it. The drive is starting to get a bit rough. I know people drive farther daily for work but I was not made to be like that. I hit 20 minutes and I am incredibly bored. It is good though to work in an office I enjoy.

So today I finally got out some stuff to be crafty. I let myself get a little stressed over the past couple of months and I have not done enough crafting. Today I made a little halloween bag. Its fun right now because all the special days come in a row. Halloween (yes special. I enjoy this day!), Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Love this time of the year. Here are some pictures.

It is now Monday morning again. I meet a new physician this morning to work with but I do not have to be there till 10! It is however about a 45 minute drive. That could get old quick but at least I have satellite radio to keep me company. The physician has another student with her. I am not sure how this will work out. I hope well. I hope I like the other student. She is from the states Osteopathic Medical school.

This weekend was fun. We went to see the Blue Man Group. We had seen this group in New York City about 3 years ago. It was a blast there. We came right before the show and they sold us tickets for vvery cheap due to our student ids from college. This show this weekend however cost a pretty penny for us. It was good. I enjoyed my time. But, It will never even come close to comparing to seeing them in NYC. The show this weekend seemed to be more about the band they brought rather than the blue men. It was still fantastic to see. The other issue was that this show was in a giant hockey arena. So everone was fairly far away. In NYC it is a fairly small theater and so everyones fairly close to the stage. We were in the back (got the leftover tickets) and could see very well.

The stadium we were in was wonderful. We had paid for “VIP” parking which was about 6 dollars more than the next parking lot. Was that ever worth it! We got to our car, got in and were on our way. No delay or anything. We were headed right out of the city. I have to say that I was amazed at the ease. I would always pay for that parking now. We also went to Church Brew Works before the show. Always a pleasure to go there. Shared a pizza and hummus.

Yesterday I drove to Charleston to see my Grandpa and then to Daniels to move in with my parents for the month.

Off to meet the new doctor, wish me luck. I have to work with her for a month!
